Límandi mottan er samsett úr há-þéttleika pólýetýleni (PE) efni og vatns-leysanlegu pólýakrýlatlími (eða þrýsti-næmt lím). PE efnið er ó-eitrað, lyktarlaust, efnafræðilega stöðugt og sýnir framúrskarandi lágt-hitaþol; límið er vatns-leysanlegt, laust við málma og lífræna efnamengun og hefur enga stingandi lykt.
Varan er með fjöl-laga uppbyggingu-venjulega 30 lög á hverri mottu-og hvert lag er húðað með háu- eða lágu{-límandi lími, sem gerir auðveldan aðskilnað á milli laga.
Specific physical specifications include: a base material of PE film (35–50 μm thick) with an adhesive coating thickness of 5–7 μm; a total product thickness of 1.55–1.8 mm per mat; and primary colors of blue or white.
